Wedding at Puttenham

We try and keep the cost of your wedding as low as possible, and if cost is a problem please talk to us.  The basic wedding cost is £504 which includes the marriage fees as laid down by Parliament, the fee for the Publication of Banns of Marriage, the Marriage Certificate, and a charge of £30 which is paid to a verger to get the church ready for your wedding.

We do however hope that you will make an additional donation of £50 to the church.  This is voluntary so that those who really cannot afford to pay are still able to get married in church.  Also by being a donation you are able to gift aid this part of your wedding fee.

Between October and March we will charge an extra £50 for heating.  We will put the heat on for at least three hours before your wedding but please note that it won’t ever get as warm as a domestic house!

On top of the basic fee are some optional extras the prices of these are slightly different in each church so please refer to the downloads below.

Below are a number of downloads which might be helpful in planning your weddings.  We have fewer weddings in Wilstone and Long Marston so we don've have a leaflet for those churches.  The final two links take you to other websites the first is the Tring Church organists website and the second in the Church of England's website.  Please remember that what may be appropriate in a large church may not work in one of our small village churches.
