Together in Tring
This is the day when Christ was crucified. In the morning (at 10 am) we have a contemporary style service, and walks of witness.
In the afternoon there is more traditional worship. The Gospels tell us that Jesus was crucified at noon, and three hours later he breathed his last. At 2 pm the formal acts of worship begins. We hear St. John’s version of the Passion and we pray for the world. As we meet and pray the cross is set up before us, and we sing ‘When I survey the wondrous cross’.
In the evening we have a reflective service when we remember Jesus’ body being taken off the cross, wrapped in a linen shroud and laid in a tomb.
