The Team Scheme

The Tring Team parish is a community of people who meet to worship God and try to work out what it means to serve Him and our neighbours.  We pray together, we share each other’s joys and sadness and we try to make our world a better place.  We try to do what God wants us to achieve, both individually and as a church community. There is no membership fee. Instead, we rely on the generosity of those who value the place of the church within the community. Some will worship every week, others may be less frequent, but this does not mean that they value the church any less.

The Team Scheme is the name we give to the system of financing our parish and the five churches work together.  Our largest expenditure is the parish share, the money we pay to the diocese for ministry costs.  We have a single parish budget made up by combining the information from the District Churches.  Beyond the Team scheme we raise money with our various Friends organisations to help maintain our church buildings.

We get no external support.  The parish is entirely funded by the local congregations. If you would like to find out how to join our planned giving scheme please email the treasurer.

The Tring Team Parish is a registered charity.  This means that we are able to reclaim an extra 25% of any donations that you make from the inland revenue.  To do this we need you to fill in a Gift Aid declaration form.  You are also able to declare this donation on your own tax form and so can gain tax relief.
